Used him in 2018, is he better then last year? No.. but he is stil in the high ranks for best Defenders in the league. Have Anchor on him and he really gets down and dirty. I dont have any issues with his speed or height. I love having him still, just be careful on high pressure from the opponent when you have him on the ball
Aggressive
Fearless
Tactically Aware

Passing
Clunky when on the ball of the ball you don't notice it
Is he as good as the Hype suggests? No. But he is damn close. In fact i upgraded to his inform during FUT Champs because i expected good things.
Pace - This card feels very quick. It is nice to be able to recover should you make a mistake.
Tackling - Standing and Sliding this card feels top draw. Very solid. Can be a bit off but 95% of the time is fine.
Passing - I like to pass from the back and he lets me do so.
Interceptions - Not his greatest stat but again he will make them. Combined with his passing it does work well enough to be a positive.
Physical - Tall strong and good jumping. Fantastic, will win headers defensively and score some goals.
This card doesn't have an obvious con. Other than perhaps he could have Varanes pace, Chiellini's defending, be 6foot6 and have 5* weak foot. For what this card is you get what you see and more. It isn't the best card on the planet for sure. It isn't as good as the hype, but you never feel let down by it. If he gets beaten in the air. If he gives a foul if he makes the mistake you kind of feel "I mean he did those last 8 things so well. He can't be perfect."... Or can he? (inform review will be here next week, so perhaps he can.)
Well... He was a beast last year - There were no chances to get behind him, to win a tackle against him, to pace away, and so on.
This year these strenghts seems to be his weaknesses. His pace is still solid of course, but he feels so clunky to play in many situations. In most cases he feels like a bronze defender to be honest.
I dont know what happend to him, but I do not recommend to play him in Fifa 19.
